Fun Beauty Fact!!

Here is a fun beauty fact for today! Did you know that if you have mascara that is clumpy you can take a few drops of your favorite soda, drop it in, and you will no longer have clumpy mascara?!!

Obviously I chose this pic because of the fun animal print haha!

Updated Foundation Routine!!

The other morning before Michael's birthday party I decided that since it had been a while since I last filmed that I would film an updated foundation routine video... I changed my foundation over the summer while on vacation and wanted to share what I am now using as well as show you guys a new product that I just bought to see if I like it (for dark under eye circles)... I use it for the first time EVER in this video and surprisingly enough I actually really am liking it!! As most of you may know I have always suffered from dark under eye circles, it is hereditary, my mom and dad both have them also. Don't know how long I am gonna keep liking this new product, but for now it really isn't so bad. The best part is that it's a DRUGSTORE PRODUCT!!!

Thanks for following and watching-

How to: Tease a Ponytail

PLEASE READ BEFORE VIEWING THE VIDEO!! :)
I recently recorded this tutorial and then when I watched it I decided that I wasn't too sure if I would upload it! As I am sure you all know by now I recently had a baby less than six months ago and I have struggled with losing that last 10 lbs! If you have a baby then you may know what I mean... But it has really made me very self conscious about the way I look now! So I have been really trying to work out more and get rid of the last 8-10 pounds that seem to love sticking to my body oh so much haha!! With all that being said when I seen the way I looked in the video I really wasn't sure if I wanted anyone else to see it, but I decided to just go ahead with it ha.. Please just bare with me on my little journey to get rid of it all lol. Let me be the first to tell you that that last 10 lbs really does change your appearance a whole whole lot!! However, I am just thankful that I only gained 30 with my daughter and in all honestly I really haven't worked out a whole lot, I just haven't had the time. If I was able to more then I probably would've already shed the rest of the weight or atleast most of it by now!! Plus the camera really does add weight lol, but they say it only adds ten pounds, I think it adds 20 haha!!

Remember that you can make it as poofy as you want it, just keep on teasing... and don't do what I accidentally did in this video when I am spraying the hairspray (I patted the hair down like a genious lol)!

-good luck in all you do,

The RIGHT Lipsticks

I just wanted to make this post about choosing the right lipsticks for yourself! You often see people wear shades that are waaaay to dark for them or waaaay too light! So I hope this helps...

First don't forget that a darker color will make lips look smaller and a sheer gloss will make them look fuller!!! This theory applies to makeup in many ways... Just always remember that something dark makes things look further away which in return will make them appear smaller (kinda like how black clothes are slimming haha), and lighter colors are going to make things appear closer!!

Also, with ivory/beige skin, the fastest way to age yourself is with a dark color!! This is different for bronze/ebony skin tones because the contrast in the color isn't that much different!

IVORY/BEIGE SKIN TONES
The fastest way to look younger is with a bright and warm lipstick.
A neutral shade will just blend into your face (but I do LOVE a neutral lip haha)!
Lipsticks with brown undertones on lighter skin shades will make it look dead.
Can wear cool pink shades.
Warm pinks are much more flattering though.

BRONZE/EBONY SKIN TONES
Can wear shades with brown undertones since their skin has so much brown undertones already.
Cool pinks (lighter shades) will look too ashy on these skin tones.
Main thing to remember (this goes for everyone's skin tone) is take your skin tone into consideration.
choose something that is complimentary to your skin tone!
Brighter colors can be worn on this skin tone as well and will brighten the face.

If you aren't sure when picking a color then just go for a shade that is a couple shades darker than your skin tone and it will give you great definition and won't be too much!

Birthdays and Blushes!!

Sorry that it has been a few days.... here is what I have been up to!!

Seven years ago this past Sunday this lil guy was born!! We have been really busy planning his birthday party for this coming Saturday...he wanted a "Pirates of the Carribbean" theme!!

So I will be posting pics from the party sometime in the near future!!

Aside from that let's talk BLUSH... I wanted to do a post about choosing the right shades of blush for your skin tone! Personally I really like some colors for myself that aren't really ideal for my skin tone, but I feel like if you aren't using too much of the colors that aren't really ideal then it's not so bad. So if you can pull it off then go for it! Here it is...

Always remember that the purpose of blush is to give you the natural flushed looked.... just like if you were to run around, the color you flush to is what you are going for when applying your blush.

Typically with skin tones you have to categories, you have your ivory/beige & then you have your bronze/ebony skin tones!
1. A deep, rich, warmer shade on ivory skin doesn't work.
2. Same goes for if you were to try and wear a pale shade on on ebony skin it will look really ashy.
3. If you wear a blush with shimmer try going for a shade that has gold to it, instead of silver. Silver is
more reflective and ashy and will definitely not work on darker skin tones.
4. However, shades with some sheen or shimmer do look great on darker skin tones because they give
it a bit of a glow!
5. Bright pops of color do look really great on darker skin tones!
6. Don't fear though, there are some colors that are universal, so don't think that you are tied down to
just certain shades for your skin tones!
7. Apricot colors will look great on all shades!!
8. The MOST important thing though is to NOT try to pull off something that is too dark for your skin
tone! If you are more pale then you are definitely better going for something with a lil more color
    opposed to something darker...

WRONG AND RIGHT FOR YOUR SKIN TONES! HERE IS A LIST!! HOPE THIS HELPS!!
IVORY/BEIGE SKIN TONES (THE RIGHT SHADES AND THE WRONG)
peach (right for all)
berry (wrong)
something bright( right), just don't go for something too brown
soft pinks (right for all)
dark browns (wrong)
almonds (wrong)
raisins (wrong)
BRONZE/EBONY SKIN TONES (THE RIGHT SHADES AND THE WRONG)
almonds (right for all)
raisins (right for all)
warm browns (right)
berry (right for all)
bright apricot (right)
soft peach (wrong), will look ashy
can do a brighter/lighter color as long as it's sheer with a bit of shimmer

Have fun expirimenting everyone! I think my next color theory post might be with lipsticks!

Color Wheel for Your Eyes

So I decided to finally make this post about the color wheel....it really is unbelievable how it relates to make-up! This is just going to be a simple guide on how to choose the right eyeshadow to make your color eyes really pop!

It's super simple....first just find your eye color on the color wheel.

1. BLUE: If you have blue eyes just find the colors that are across from blue on the color wheel. Your browns, golds, and bronzes are going to look best and really make your eye color pop out! I have this color.

2. GREEN: For green eyes do the same...across the color wheel you have, reds, some purples, and burgundy, as well as some oranges!

3. BROWN: Oh how I wish that I had this color sometimes haha! Congrats to you because people with brown eyes can virtually wear pretty much any color that they want! Although blues and violets are going to make your eyes stand out the best!

4. HAZEL: Now hazel eyes are a bit more tricky but really great because you have a lot more options since you have multiple shades to your eyes! If your eyes are brown with green flakes then choose which color you want to bring out more... if your eyes are brown with blue flakes then do the same! You don't have to bring out the one that is the least amount...if you would rather go with the browns then go for it!

My daughter's eyes are hazel like that of my husband's but her's are sooo unique... When she was born she had brown eyes (not blue like most babies haha), now her eyes are hazel but they have shades of green and believe it or not sometimes they look like they have flakes of blue too!! I guess since I have blue eyes and my hubby has hazel eyes she kinda got both haha! So if your eyes are like that too then just pick whichever color you wanna bring out more!!

Hope you all enjoyed and I hope this helped ya out a bit when deciding which colors to wear!

Komando!!

Hey guys so I am super excited and just had to tell everyone about this awesomeness haha!! My laptop is now working again and all thanks to my step-dad who told me about this awesome website http://komando.com you should really check it out!! He helped me to install anti-virus sofware and anti-malware to my pc! This site is really great, it has tons of downloads for protection and it also has apps for phones and even games too!! Seriously you have got to check it out if you need any of this stuff... I am just soooo thankful that my computer is connecting to the internet and that I was able to get rid of the viruses that had affected it. I downloaded the AVG virus protection and yes it is FREE!! I then found an anti-malware and installed it as well... I believe it was listed as malwarebytes but I am not 100% sure!! I am just happy that it is now working so I can get back to uploading videos for everyone that watches them!

Keep in mind if you do decide to download anything, that there are free versions of things and then there are some that do cost money. So if you aren't looking to pay for it then make sure you select the free installations!! I really hope you guys enjoy!!

Remembering Those 10 years ago...

It was 10 years ago today that the terrible attacks hit our country! I want to take this time and remember those that lost their lives and thank those that were there to help! I also want to take today to say how thankful I am to have my hubby who just recently returned from his 5th deployment!! If it wasn't for him and all the other soldiers I dunno where we would be today!! I am truly thankful and blessed to have him here safely with me and I thank my lucky stars every single precious moment that I have....he sacrificed so much for all of us, including missing our baby girl being born! I love you honey and thank you so much!! Thank all of our troops for all that they do!!!!

Metallic Liners

That's right it's all the rage for fall this year! Metallic eyeliner? Crazy huh? But definitely loads of fun and something new and exciting!!

From ULTA they are just $2
L.A. Splash they are $6.49
Essence metallic eye pencils are $1.49

On the higher end brands...

One brand I really love that the quality is higher end but the prices are super cheap is SEPHORA!! I love them...their metallic eyeliner is just $3.00!!

Make-up Forever Aqua Liner is $23
Smashbox Limitless Liner for $19

Of course not every single last color will be metallic and you do have to pick which ones you want haha! This is definitely going to be lots of fun!!

Colored Denim?

This season's new trend for your denim isn't just blue jeans...it's colored denim! At first I thought that was a little insane but paired with the right cute heels I really like this style!!

Everything from acid washed to red is now back in style! I never thought I would see the day where I myself was wanting another pair of acid washed jeans but I really do like them paired with a cute pair of heels and in the skinny jeans style haha...

What are your new favorite fall denim colors?

Fall 2011 Hair Trends

Here are a few of this season's fall hair trends straight from the runway!

1: Ponytails worn from close to the crown of the head!

2: Ponytails secured low at the nape of the neck!

3: The weaving pattern: from fuzzy braids to cornrows!

4: Artistic expressions with wild hair do's or colored extentions!

5: Experimenting with accessories in your hairstyles!

Your hair can definitely be a statement without being too dramatic...but if you like it that way then go for it!!

Hey guys...so I just uploaded a dramatic daytime eye look for you all! Here are the products I used!!

EYES
From the Urban Decay Ammo palette I used the shadows in; virgin, toasted, and hustle
From the Urban Decay Ammo palette I used the shadows in; maui waui and chopper
I used MAC shadows in "carbon" for over my eyeliner and the color "charcoal brown" for my eyebrows
I used MAC kohl eyeliner in "smolder"
For mascara I used Urban Decay eyelash primer potion and "big fatty" mascara
CHEEKS
I used MAC blush in "Dame"
LIPS
I used Sephora lipliner in "native nude" and MAC lipglass in "Electro Lush"

Please forgive me for my skin looking awful...I completely forgot to moisturize, and I had just done another look before this one, so I removed all the other makeup and started all over and didn't realize I forgot to moisturize until I had already started filming lol! Obviously it dried my skin out haha, and I have dry skin anyways!

Forever 21 Fashion

Forever 21 always has great deals and great fashion. To me they seem to have a lil something for every different style there! Here are a few of their newest arrivals!

I really love this leatherette bomber jacket for just $32.80

These disco night wedges are just $29.80 I love how much fun these look!

So there are two reasons why I am mentioning this shirt. The first is simply because I really love this style but the second is because it says Nashville Rebel and that's where I am from haha. This one is just $15.80!

This beaded shield ring is definitely one of my favorites! I have always loved big chunky rings! And this one is only $4.80!!

There are soooo many more cute things that I would love to post but that would take forever haha! Just curious...was anyone else thinking how odd it is all that of their stuff is whatever amount in dollars and then 80 cents lol?! I promise I did not just make up those amounts haha!
