Grow Your Social Networks!

Today's post is a little bit off subject from things I normally talk about, but when something really excited me I just can't help but to share it with all of you! If you are looking to grow your social networks like your youtube, twitter, facebook like page, or even your website (including your blogs)... then this is definitely a site I recommend! Not only does it completely work the way it says it will.. it's TOTALLY free!

It's super simple to do too. Just go to http://growsocials.com/ and create an account. From there are you have to do is add whatever videos, channels, tweets, twitter accounts, websites, etc. If I remember correctly you automatically start off with a few credits. To earn more credits all you have to do is watch other people's videos, or subscibe, retweet, like, follow, and so on! To sum it all up, pretty much you earn free credits to go into your account for doing all of these things, and people earn credits back for doing the same with your accounts! Sorta like a free like for like haha!

It is a little bit addicting for some odd reason too.. but I have also found some neat videos to watch in the process! So go check it out if you are looking for some free promotion for you social networks!

Curling Hair With a Flat Iron

Hey everyone! So as some of you may or may not know yesterday was my birthday... Since we are in the process of moving I didn't do an actual party or anything because we were super busy trying to visit family and friends before we leave today.. But I did get some cute pictures of Elizabeth's first time at the park, so I will try to get them up soon on my other blog! My reason for bringing all this up is because I may be a little bit missing for a while due to moving and traveling, but I will be back ASAP!!

Anyways, I have uploaded what may be my last video until we move into our new place... So don't think I have left or anything haha!!

Today's video is a tutorial on how to curl your hair with a flat iron! I know that lots of other gurus on youtube have done this video, but this is the way that I learned and I haven't really seen too many other videos done this way! I was actually surprised about that. After watching lots of videos for this I realized that this way is much much easier (well it is to me anyways)! So I decided to share it with everyone... I have long hair that is thick and I can do this to my hair in about 15-20 minutes.

Dresses and Other Drugs

I know I know... I bet a lot of you are probably thinking, "why is she talking about drugs?" haha... That's actually the brand I am talking about! So as a fellow beauty guru on youtube, I of course know who the Fowler sisters are... Well Blair recently Pose'd a pic of her dress for the Betty White "Off Their Rockers" premiere party and Nylon Magazine's 13th Anniversary Party, and I absolutely LOVED it!!

Here is a pic of her in the dress.. (this is not the picture that she showed on her Pose account)

Funny thing is that this picture of the dress was actually on one of the websites that had the dress on their site for sale. She paired this dress with some black suede Steve Madden pumps (I think I actually have the exact same ones), a black Bebe coat, a black Chanel purse, and the only jewelry it looks like she had on were some stud earrings and her ring that she got on her birthday, which is really dainty and classy! I thought she did a great job putting the look together, and was sure not to add too much color to her accessories since her dress already had SOO much going on in it!

Twins anyone? Plus a Blog To Visit!

Hey guys... I decided to do another one of my "blog to visit" posts. One of my best friends for years also has a blog and I feel like she doesn't get the recognition that it needs! Her blog has lots of different things like: beauty, favorites, recipes, book reviews, movie revews, as well as a few others!

I named today's post "Twins Anyone?" because of the picture I am going to share with all of you from Melody and I in high school haha!

HAHA what a SUPER old picture!! In school everyone use to get us confused and mixed up (we never realized we looked anything alike until then)... What do you guys think?

DIY Bedroom Decor

I was looking around online for some fun DIY decorating and this is what I found!

How To Make A Forest Inspired Headboard...

It looks really simple to do.. Simply gather up some fallen branches and paint them white as well as the headboard, and then tie ribbon and little birds to the branches!

Materials and Tools

screwdriver (or drill optional)
branch clippers
hand saw or chop saw
paintbrush and white paint
recycled flat headboard and frame
sandpaper
(4) two-hole 1" metal straps — (EMT #41922 at Lowe's) use 3/4" if thin branches
(8) screws (if not in package with straps)
large branches (from tree that is already down)
birds (craft store — have clips on them)
ribbon
tacky spray
glitter — clear and silver

Prep the Headboard for Paint

Sand and paint the headboard and its frame white. Apply two coats if necessary.

Lay Out the Design and Paint the Branches

Lay out the branches on the headboard until you have the right layout and size, then trim and cut the branches where necessary. Paint the branches white. Apply two coats on all sides. When branches are dry, coat them with a tacky spray and sprinkle on glitter.

Bold Brows and Full Lashes

Today Sigma Beauty launched their newest brushes! The E75 angled brow brush and the E80 brow and lash brush.

The E75 brush is firm and angled, and is perfect for filling in sparse brows with gel and powder products as well. This brush also has synthetic bristles and is only $11, which is a great deal compared to other brands.

The E80 brows and lash brush is definitely a tool that you should have in your collection. It is great for taming and shaping those brow hairs while also filling them in. It also works really well for pulling through the lashes to separate them. It again also has synthetic bristles and is just $9.

What to Carry in your Prom Purse

With prom season in full swing I thought today's post should be about what you should carry in your prom purse or clutch. Everyone always remembers to share their hair and makeup tips and tutorials, but no one seems to remember to throw a few reminders out there for what you might need to have in your prom purse! Here are my suggestions...

1. EXTRA bobby pins (perferable the color of your hair), you never know when you might have a piece of hair to come loose from your hairstyle

2. See if you can get your hands on the lil miniature bottles of hairspray. This will come in handy once again if you need some extra staying power for your hair unexpectedly!

3. Don't forget those toiletries either (you never can tell sometimes when that time of the month will hit haha)!

4. I always like to hair some sort of makeup with me... usually it's always something to touch up my lips! Since we are all different, just bring whatever you think you may want or need.

5. Bring some extra cash to have on hand.. most of the time at prom you can't exactly use your debit card other than wherever you go before you get to prom.

Last summer I had to attend a formal ball for my husband's job and believe it or not all of this fit into my lil clutch that I brought with me haha! I had my phone, lipliner and gloss, some bobby pins, and even some extra stuff! If you can't fit both the hairspray and the bobby pins then just choose one... personally I went for the bobby pins since the hairspray wouldn't fit too! You can find the little bottles of it at even the salons in Wal-Mart!

Revlon Photoready Review & Demo

Hey everyone! Today's video is on the Revlon Photoready foundation. I decided to do not only a review on the product, but also a demonstration too.. You will see me go from the beginning, fresh out of the shower haha, to full foundation! Please note though, that I decided not to do any concealer other than under my eyes.. so therefore the ending result is only how the product performs without applying any concealer to any breakouts or any areas that may need it.

Favorite Spring Nail Colors

Hey guys! Today I decided to share what my favorite nail polish colors for Spring are at the moment.. Right now I have been obsessed with two different colors. I actually just bought another one, but haven't had the chance to try it out yet... it's my next shade to wear haha! Don't forget to read the bottom of the post to see how to get a new free gift from SIGMA BEAUTY!!

On my nails right now I actually have this shade from Essie on my nails in "lilacism", I feel like it is totally perfect for Spring and was really surprised at how pigmented it was when I put it on!

My other favorite color for Spring right now is OPI's "panda-monium pink" which is super pretty. I love that it has some hints of purple kinda mixed in with all of the pink. Unfortunately, I believe this color is being disontinued, so it may not be available to everyone anymore.

The other color that I am excited to try out is also from Essie, and it's in the shade "peach daiquiri".. it looks SUPER bright and coral in person. So I am anxious to see how it actually turns out. I purchased both of the Essie products at Wal-Mart in the clearance section (even though they were they same price as usual).
