Merry Christmas Morning vlog!

This year we spent Christmas at my parent's house... this was actually the first year that we have ever spent it with them, normally we see them Christmas Eve and then they would come over Christmas Day, except last year because it was the first year we were too far away since moving... so this year it was a lil different than the way it usually is at our house! I decided to share with you all a lil video of the kids Christmas morning, as well as some pics from Christmas Eve too.. This was also a special Christmas because it was Landon's first one!!

Christmas party OOTN (two different looks)

The second video I am sharing with you all, was also filmed the night of the Christmas party. So we filmed this right after filming the video for the cookies! I love that I can talk my sister in to doing videos with me haha! We also filmed a really long vlog from the party, but I haven't edited it yet!

This was suppose to be an ugly sweater party, but not a single person was able to really find one, so it turned in to just a sweater party lol!

Holiday House Tour

Jessica James Hair Tutorial

Hey everyone! I can't believe how badly I have been here lately about posting on here. Truthfully, I keep thinking that I have and then like 2 weeks later I realize that I forgot haha! So I decided to do a few posts to kinda catch everyone up a bit.

I am sure at least some of you have watched the new E! show Eric and Jessie. If not, you have probably either watched Eric play for the Broncos, or maybe you have heard Jessie's music before. With all that aside I was slightly obsessed with her hair style and was lucky enough to come across a tutorial on YouTube of her showing how she styles her hair!!

Now, the way she does her hair is a lil different than how I do it in the video. That is because my hair did better for the style by tweaking what she did just a bit. The look is super easy and super fast to do too!

Relieve Stress During The Holiday Mess

For some, the holidays can be super stressful. After all... there is a ton that goes into getting ready for them! Everyone around the world has a different way that they like to relieve some of that stress, and you probably wouldn't believe some of different ways they do so!

In Japan they have beverage pools filled with things like coffee, green tea, or wine in one of their spas. Crazy right?

Over in Iceland they do mineral massages using salts and mud. They also do things like the algae wraps and massages in water. Those probably all sound pretty familiar though.

In Miami you can take an Evian bath that cost $5000 dollars! It uses 1,000 bottles of Evian water. The French mineral water is believed to detoxify and purify the skin. Which definitely does make sense.

Italy has a very unique spa treatment. It is called a "Hay Bath." Basically you just are wrapped up in hay. Hotel Heubad has been doing this since 1903 and it attracts visitors from all over the world!! Locals and even doctors have said this to be a positive but temporary treatment for things like muscle cramps to stiff joints.

Lastly we have Portugal. They do a chocolate facial. Can we say yummy? It is a 40 minute treatment and they use oxygen infused, melted Swiss chocolate all over the face! Did you guys know that dark chocolate is considered the healthy chocolate for the body? It is also believed to fight aging as well as other things.

Now all of these can be a little extravagant... so for me I have a different approach to relieving stress during the holidays! Oddly enough one way that I feel stress free for atleast a few days is to spend a day deep cleaning my house. This is because when my house is clean I feel like it is much easier to relax the next few days and not have to worry about cleaning it haha! On a more feminine note I love to pamper myself, whether it be to give myself a manicure, or take a long hot bath with candles lit. I love to create that spa-like feel when you are unable to actually go to the spa.

Thanksgiving Inspired Cranberry and Gold Makeup

Hey guys... First off.... I just want to tell you all Happy Thanksgiving even though it ended here on the esast coast a lil over an hour ago haha....also, so it turns out that I didn't forget to post my Halloween Ursula makeup tutorial like I thought I did! Anyways.... here is my newest makeup tutorial that I just upload about 30 minutes ago!

I decided today when I did my makeup that I wanted it to feel a little bit festive so I did a soft cranberry and gold eye shadow look! A little disclaimer, which is more of an apology really... I could NOT get a decent pic for the video thumbnail because the lighting was almost too bright and there were some shadows coming through the window that I was trying to dodge haha!

Ursula Halloween Tutorial Collab

Hey guys! Today's video is a Halloween tutorial for Ursula from the Little Mermaid! It is also a collab video that I am doing with misplacedmoo who is another beauty guru on YouTube... we chose to do famous witches so be sure to check out her channel to see who she chose to do.

10 Minute Facial

I am super excited to share with all of you the Artistry 10 minute facial!!

The 10 minute facial kit includes:

Personal Accents Nail Polishes

I recently discovered a new nail polish collection from the Personal Accents line (they also have other accessories, jewelry, and fragrances) that features tons of different colors for every season or occassion!

There are over 20 different polishes to choose from. The two featured above are "Salmon-esque" (top) and "Raspberry Sorbet" (bottom)!

I came across a review on another blog for these as well that actually has some pics so you can see just how great they apply! Her blog is A Girl and Her Polish, I did notice that the where she purchased her polish from was selling them for $10 a POP!!! That to me just sounds crazy... With that being said I am pleased to let you guys know that all of the Personal Accents polishes are now available through my online store for $8.75! No lie guys... I have a slight obsession with nail polishes haha... I can't even walk through any store without stopping to look at them and usually buy atleast one! Best Full Coverage Drugstore Foundation

I have mentioned the L'oreal True Match foundation before.. but I just can not stop loving it haha! Plus, I have yet to find a drugstore foundation that I would literally swear by!

The fact that they come in sooooo many different shades is also great because every one has a choice. Unlike other drugstore brands that don't offer that many different shades, you always have a shade to use with the L'oreal!

Personally, I consider this foundation to be full coverage. The reason for that is that when I wear this foundation I typically never ever even need a concealer other than under my eyes (that is because I like for under my eyes to be a little lighter and brighter, since I do suffer from horrible under eye circles)!! Right now my skin has been a little out of control and breaking out really easily. Yesterday some friends and I were talking about whether or not we suffer from acne and they had no idea that my skin was even broken out at all! The true match foundation was all I was wearing too, along with a slight bit of pressed powder (I don't wear too much powder though since my skin tends to be really dry sometimes! So the fact that they were sitting right beside me and had no idea that I do have acne made me love this product even more!!

I decided to write this because I truly have all of your readers and viewers out there to thank for pushing me to do what I truly love!! DIY Gel Mani

For the longest I would go to the salon and get a manicure with a clear gel polish over top of it to make it last longer! Since that can end up getting a little pricey I decided to try it out with my mini LED light from Sally Hansen and film a tutorial while I did it!

The negative to doing it the way I did in the video was that I did end up experiencing a little bit of bubbling after I had showered a couple of times. I do truly believe that that had a lot to do with the fact that I was already wearing a regular OPI top coat on over the polish and then did the gel. That was all because when I got the idea to try out the gel polish over my regular nail polish, I had already done the top coat. I filmed this a couple of days after I painted my nails! Aside from that, it did made it a lot harder to get the polish off, so that was really good haha!

5 Ways to Save Money on Brushes

Here are 5 steps to help you choose the right makeup brushes, and to save money...

1. What is your makeup routine? Consider what products you wear everyday. This way you don't purchase unnecessary brushes!

2. Test the new brushes before buying them by swirling them on the inside of your arm, (NEVER try the display brush on your face), that can be really gross haha! If the brushes feel scratchy or just plain uncomfortable then try to steer clear. I don't want to say that if a brush sheds then it is bad, because I have some really great brushes that will sometimes shed a lot!

3. Some makeup actually works best when applied with your fingers (like foundation or cream blush)! This is because your body will naturally heat up the product so it goes on easier, smoother, and with less streaking.

4. Consider the brushes that come with the products. Sometimes the ones that you get with a palette or compact work really great! It can be a big hit or miss though!

5. Don't forget that a lot of brushes will multitask, so there isn't a need to purchase a zillion different ones.
Unless you are like me and you just really want a large collection haha!

    When it comes to fashion, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest trends. So for me I find that searching through fashion and beauty magazines is a great way to keep up! This season there are definitely some Fall trends that I am not a fan of, as there are with every season, so I decided to only share the ones that I am really loving!

The tortoiseshell aviators are in this Fall as well. aviators have always been big in my opinion, I have just never really found a style that I liked. These by Michael Kors are definitely growing on my though. They are a little bit different than some of the other aviators, I feel like they have a bit more feminine touch to them than some others. Never in a million years did I ever think that something like iridescent heels would be trendy haha! But they are, and I have to admit that I have mixed feelings about them. They definitely look cool, but some more than others! They would be totally fun for a night out if you were wearing solid colored dress. Just as long as you chose a color that was within the heel. Word jewelry is making a comeback too! This includes having your name as well. I personally use to have a necklace like the one above that was in my name. A great place to find things like this would definitely be the etsy website!

Call me crazy but I am kinda digging the lug sole boot trend! Especially in black... Some of the styles for this trend definitely bring me back to the 90's and watching Clueless haha!

Having a leopard print accessory this Fall is a must! I absolutely love the pic above and how it was all pieced together. According to Glamour magazine, leopard is the new neutral and can be worn with any print, and I must admit that I am kinda agreeing! Places like Forever21 would be a great and inexpensive place to find these shoes or any other leopard accessory. (Notice that she is also wearing lots of other trends that I am talking about as well haha, totally unintentionally posted by the way!)

Having a really great looking and chic carryall is another must have this season. The one above is from Coach and I absolutely love the color of it as well as the texture, but I don't know if it is still available or not! My Swimsuit Collection

If you haven't yet noticed most of my posts here lately are for a new beauty or fashion related video for my beauty channel. This is because over the last year I have really slacked off when it comes to uploading. That is mainly due to that my internet before was SUPER slow and would mess up constantly, which made it really difficult to upload! Recently we finally switched to a new provider and our internet is now super fast and it literally only takes me a few minutes to upload a 10 minute video, as opposed to it taking 24 hours and many many tries! So I hope that you guys don't mind it being like this for a bit as long as they are still related to my blog.

This past Wednesday, June 5th, we welcomed the 5th member to our family! At 8:39am I gave birth to my new little bundle of joy, Landon Jacob! The crazy thing was that I had filmed a pregnancy video the day I went into labor that is up on youtube already haha! I will do an update video soon and introduce my little guy! Until then please excuse my absences, I have been one busy mamma hehe!!

The Waiting Game

It has been so long since my last post so please forgive me! I am just a little over a week away from my due date so things have been really hectic here haha! So my bags are packed and ready to make the trip to the hospital when our little guy decides to make his arrival. Honestly, I am surprised that time hasn't come yet.

Hey everyone, I am so sorry I have been completely absent lately. I have have a lot going on with this pregnancy and was put on bedrest for a while. On top of that my internet has been messed up for quite some time and truthfully I need to find a new service!

Anyways I would like to present the new celeb trend... colored winged eyeliner! First we had the whole cat-eye look and then there was colored liner. Now various celebs are rocking colored winged liner.
