County Fair 2015 plus outfit details

About a month ago we attended our county fair.. One of my good friends and her daughter joined us since she was there for the pageant. We went on the perfect night when there were no lines and the kids rode almost all the rides for free! I filmed a couple little scenes and took lots of pictures.

In case you were wondering, I kept my outfit super simple and casual....

Breakfast at Tiffany's Baby Shower!

On the 17th I threw a baby shower for my sister. She is finally having a little boy, Yay!!! I wanted her theme to feel somewhat elegant so I went with Breakfast at Tiffany's. Here are a few pics of how the special day went...

My favorite picture from the day is actually the one above haha! No filter or anything.

I took a vase that I had and stuffed it with Tiffany blue streamer and put some fake flowers down in it for the decoration for the food table. For the menu cards I made them on pic monkey and printed them off through Wal-Mart.com. We had sausage balls, assorted muffins, doughnuts, and scrambled eggs on the food table.

 I set up a yogurt bar where you could create your own parfait! I sliced up bananas, and strawberries, and had greek yogurt (the walmart brand which is AMAZING), granola, and blueberries! This was a huge hit!

I couldn't help but take a pic of mine lol! 

The table decor was very simple, and I just left the two vases of flowers I already had on my dining table haha! I already had some plastic (but real looking) plates with silver trim, that were leftover from Elizabeth's Cinderella party. Of course we also had to have the Tiffany blue forks and napkins to go with the theme of the shower.

There was also a drink station that I had put together on the bar cart, I am not sure where the pic went though. The glasses we used were the champagne ones from the dollar tree. Again, to feel fancy haha!

This awesome diaper cake became the decor for all of our group pictures! I love that Catelin's friend made it to match the colors. I am not sure if that was intentional or not though.

We also dressed to go with the entire theme! Little black dresses and pearls!

Natural Glow on the Go!

For me, keeping my skin healthy and glowing has grown to be even more important to me the older I have gotten. If you have been reading my blog or watching my videos over the last few years, then you also know that I do tend to have very dry skin and I do suffer from occasional breakouts, even though I am getting close to 30. SSShhhh! Don't tell anyone about that last part. With that being said, I wanna share with all of you how I help maintain any sort of glow amid my hectic life. Recently I discovered a new line of beauty products, Glossier, that actually inspired me to write this post.

My first tip is to ALWAYS remove your makeup at the end of the day. No matter how late it may be. Trust me when I say your skin will thank you for it later. My favorite product for removing my makeup when I am not only on the go, but at home as well, are the Neutrogena wipes.

They also come in a travel size pack that you can keep in your purse. Not only do they provide my skin with just the right amount of moisture afterwards, but they also work really well and they never break me out!

Now don't forget to actually wash your face... I tend to rotate out between my St. Ives Apricot Scrub and I keep it old school with Noxzema too! Both of these can usually be found in travel sizes too, which is great if you travel a lot for work, or just in general.

Lastly, I have to moisturize my face every single day before applying any sort of makeup. Lucky for this post, what I use also comes in... you guessed it, travel size! My go to for years now is the Pond's Dry Skin cream. If you follow my blog then you have seen me bring this up already many times over the last few years. It is by far the best moisturizer I have found for my skin, and it's not too greasy either!

Updating my Lifestyle Blog!

As I am sure some of you may know, my blog originally started it sort of a mommy blog/ lifestyle blog. From that this blog was created as my passion for beauty and fashion bloomed. Until the other day it had been almost a year since my last post on Foxxys Wifey. I have now posted several new entries with an update from the past year of my life outside of youtube and this blog!

OOTD: Summer Cookout!

First off, let me start off by apologizing for being so absent the past few months. I have tried to upload as often as I can. Normally I will pre film videos so I have several to upload every month. Recently, I went back to work full time, which has definitely put a damper on how often I am available to film. I did film a sit down, formal video, telling you guys all that has been going on and updating you on my channel and life since moving a few months ago. Unfortunately though, I have also had horrible luck lately with electronics, and iPhoto stopped letting me import anything! As of right now though I have fixed the issue and have some new videos to go up.... YAY haha!!!

So with all that being said, here is my first video for you guys. It's a quick outfit of the day for a summer or end of summer cookout!

Camping, Kayaking, and the 4th of July Vlog!

Helllooooo everyone! I know it's been ages since my last post.. here is a super quick little update. I basically have just been working 6 days a week for the past almost 4 months since being back in TN lol! I know I have been slacking when it comes to my posts and videos, and to be totally honest I just discovered last week that I have internet at my new house haha! With that being sad I upload a new video early this morning so here it is!! Over the 4th of July weekend the hubby and I, along with several friends, went camping and kayaking and then spent Sunday with friends and family! (keep in mind it stormed the night of the 4th so we had no choice but to shoot off our fireworks the next night)

P.S. We even kayaked in the pouring down rain... twice haha!!

Yummy Berry Sangria Recipe!

Spring 2015 Runway Makeup Trends

Hey everyone! I know I am a little bit late with this post, but it's been several weeks since I last gave you guys a decent post. And with it really starting to warm up and finally feel like spring, I felt this was perfect! This runway season produced several trends that I think we have all seen before, but ones that I feel like are really perfect this season. So I chose my favorite looks from each of the trends to share with all of you.

A vibrant lip like the one shown above. I absolutely love this color! I think my biggest problem every season is that I love the colors for fall and winter when it comes to makeup. So if there is a way I can keep it going in to the spring and summer months, I am all in haha!

Browns were also a big trend for shadows this season, and there are so many different shades of browns, so you can really go any way with this.

A pop of color for the eyes! Yes please! I love this trend and they way they did it on this model.

Barely there makeup. This is something that I love doing on days where I just don't feel like doing my makeup.

A smoked out look! This is done so beautifully and subtly that it's perfect for any occasion! 

A winged black line on the upper lash line was all over the runways!

A summer bronzed look which is perfect considering we are going in to the summer months very soon!

Purple eyeshadow? This can go two different ways. One it's great like the pic shown here... or two you end of looking like the chic on the Drew Carey Show haha!

Apologies and What's In My Makeup Bag?!

I firstly want to apologize for my lack of posts and videos. As most of you know I have just moved and also started a new job the day after I got here. So my schedule has been crazy now.... Also, the internet here isn't the fastest for uploading and I literally uploaded non-stop since Monday to get this video up! It's been insane!

With all that being said I FINALLY have a new video to put up. It was suppose to go up Monday (that's why it's titled Makeup Bag Monday).. but it didn't upload until just now!

Healthy Snack Options

Hellooooo everyone! I apologize for the lack of posts here lately... we are getting ready to make a huge move to another state right now... and moving sooner than expected! So because of that I have been super busy getting things ready and doing my best to maintain my channel and blog. My tripod also broke in the middle of trying to get today's video filmed, so there's that too haha. With all of that rambling out of the way, today's video features some healthy snack options.

Recently I have started up dieting again, and here are some of the snacks I turn to when I am wanting to lose a few pounds. They are apparently helping since I have lost a few pounds already! Plus I have been on a smoothie kick because of my hubby, and am obsessed with trying out new ones. One of my favorites that is super filling is a peanut butter, banana, and chocolate soy milk one... it's delicious!

Here are the ones that I am sharing with you all today... they are super simple to make, and not expensive at all (I know a lot of people think you have to spend a ton of money to eat a little bit healthier, but that's not always true).

Coach, MAC, Fashion Items, and Toys Haul

I did some shopping the other day, not intending to do a haul video, and then when I got home I really wanted to film. So this was a last minute decision to do a haul video, excuse my awful look haha! As most of you know, Elizabeth's birthday is coming up April 2nd, and her party will be just a couple days later, so I went with the intention to get her some presents. Clearly I ended up doing some extra shopping too!

MAC's Cinderella Collection Inspired Outfit

Here lately I have been obsessed with all things Cinderella. I know that sounds a little bit weird, but you can blame my daughter. She decided last week that instead of an Ariel party for her 4th birthday, that she wants to have a Cinderella party. So I have been on Pinterest quite a bit lately, and have even contacted Cinderella to possibly come to her party! Then on top of that, MAC released there Cinderella collection which made me even more excited haha. So here is a little breakdown of the outfit:

1. I have mentioned before my love of skater skirts, so I figured a light blue one fit the theme, and is great for Spring.

2. I tried to find a cute Cinderella top to show you guys, but instead here is a simple white crop top that you can buy almost anywhere. Forever 21 has great sales on their crop tops.

3. For shoes I love the way Converse, or Ked's look with shorts and skirts and jeans. I honestly don't like they way sneakers look with any of them unless I am going to the gym. There are so many different styles of Ked's and Converse, and even off-brand ones that you can really play around with!

4. This bracelet is my favorite part of this all! I actually just bought this for my daughter and found it at the Disney store. It would fit me though and it's soooo cute! It even has the carriage and glass 

slipper. The picture isn't identical to the one I bought, but it's very close.

Snow Day OOTD

We finally had our first decent snow this year, aka SnowMageddon haha! We got around a foot, which I know isn't hardly any compared to some places, and it's a ton compared to others. For here that is a really good amount! Anyways, I decided I wanted to do an OOTD when we took the kids out sledding. Now I know this video isn't super duper long, my last one was almost 11 minutes. Then again, OOTD videos are usually just short and sweet. Also, thanks to my hubby Rob for helping me film the outfit part of this video. I hope you all enjoy!

1. When did you start your blog, and why?

I originally started my blog as a mommy blog, and once I started my YouTube channel, expanded it to what it is today. I was always so inspired by Kandee Johnson's blogs. So I decided to give it a try. That was almost exactly 4 years ago!!

2. What are you currently reading, and what's your favorite book?

To be totally honest, I don't really have a favorite book, and I am not currently reading one. I have however been on the hunt for a new one! If I had to pick I would probably honestly say the Twilight Series. The movies were nothing like the books, so unless you actually read the books you won't understand that lol!

3. What's your most-used beauty product?

Definitely some sort of concealer! I suffer from horrible under eye circles, so this is a must. My other most used product would have to be my MAC 217 brush. I could've answered the obvious answer to this question though, and said my shower products haha!

4. What are you plans for this summer?

We are getting ready to move back to our home state, and are house hunting. So I am looking forward to spending lots of time this summer with family and friends!

5. Must-have fashion piece (something you don't own)?

Ok, I have two answers for this. A leather skirt (or fake leather), and a beige peacoat! I love both, and there are so many ways to wear the skirt!

6. Most-used app on your phone?

Either YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram. I go back and forth between the three!

7. What's your daily motivation?

Easy... my kids!

8. Favorite food?

Anything Italian haha!

9. Dream vacation?

My dad's family is Italian, and I have always wanted to visit Italy!

10. Favorite thing to do with your free time?

Next to blogging, definitely making YouTube videos! It's my biggest passion, aside from writing!

My favorite things is probably fashion posts. I love being creative, although sometimes I totally fail at it haha! Polyvore is probably my favorite site for putting together looks.

Comfy & Casual Valentine's Day Outfit!

Just Like That

January Favorites: Beauty and More!!

Hey everyone! I know I have been a little bit MIA the last few days, but I promise I have a good excuse. Actually I've been pretty sick and just started feeling better yesterday. Ironically enough yesterday is also when I was able to get in to see my doctor haha. Elizabeth had had strep last week, and not just regular strep, strep with scarlet fever!! I didn't even know you could still get Scarlet Fever, it was so weird. Aside from that, Rob had been sick with whatever I had right before Elizabeth got sick. The crazy thing is that I had ended up with every symptom of strep, but yesterday my test didn't come back positive. Now either the doctor forgot to call me with my results being positive, or my body fought it off itself. They also said I could've had the flu, but I am pretty sure it was strep lol!

My reason for this little story is because I actually filmed this video when I thought I was getting better. It was filmed on the night of the super bowl and was suppose to go up Monday, but right after the super bowl I ended up getting worse, and was feeling terrible Monday. So I am sorry it's a couple days late! Also, please forgive me for how awful I look haha.. (PLEASE KNOW THAT BLOGGER WON'T LET ME RESPOND TO YOUR COMMENTS SO I AM TRULY SORRY. I HAVE IT ENABLED BUT IT STILL DOESN'T WORK)

If you guys remember my post from around the middle of the month that corresponded to Nikki Phillippi's #howtobehappyjanuary, then this post won't be too much of a shock.
