Sharing my Weekend Outfits

If you follow me on Instagram then you have seen these pics already. But I thought I would share them on here and give you guys all the little details too! Let me also say that it is extremely difficult to post a pic of yourself.. I think I need either better lighting or a bigger mirror so I can take them that way instead of selfie style haha! When my daughter is around she is the best little photographer, but she wasn't home for either of these pics..

This first pic was actually from Saturday night when we went out to the Cheesecake Factory for our anniversary dinner. It was a chilly day so I decided to wear this warm sweater from Anne Taylor over my dark gray dress that's actually from Victoria's Secret several years ago. The booties I have on are from Walmart actually. They're seriously some of my most comfortable and most worn shoes. I decided to wear some black leggings underneath my dress instead of tights due to it being so chilly on this night. Sometimes it's so hard to dress cute and warm at the same time.

The weather on this day was much more manageable for winter. My wine colored off the shoulder sweater I found at Marshall's (the brand is POOF) and can also be worn as a cowl neck. I prefer it off the shoulder though. My jeggings and my booties are both from Walmart. My favorite detail about the booties is actually the fringe on the sides. I am not sure if they still carry the shoes though, it's been over a year since I bought them.

For my jewelry details in both pics it's fairly simple. I always have on my wedding set which is a morganite with a diamond halo set in rose gold. My short dainty necklace is the aquamarine from Tiffany and Co., and the beaded bracelet with the heart, is also from Tiffany's. My longer necklace is an opal pendant that was an anniversary gift from my husband many many years ago. I am also wearing a an engraved silver bangle from I believe Hallmark (it was a gift) from many years ago, it's hidden by my sleeve though. I am also just wearing some cheap studs that matched my aquamarine necklace that I grabbed from my 7 year old daughter's collection and love them!

Styling Leopard Print for Spring & Summer

Remember the old saying, “History repeats itself.” Well the same can be said for fashion. For quite some time now the leopard print trend has been making its way back in to the hearts of fashionistas everywhere and now this fashion lover is finally on board too! I have to admit the first thing that came to mind when everyone started wearing this print again was a scene straight from Married With Children and Peggy Bundy! I have learned though.. that if worn a certain way, and not too extreme, it gives off a completely different, fun, and vibrant vibe. Here are a few simple ways to add some leopard print in to your spring wardrobe if you are a late leopard bloomer and haven’t already.
Adding a pair of leopard print shoes is perhaps the best way to transition in this print. Whether you are dressing up your outfit with heels or keeping it simple with flats.

I am sure you all recognize this beauty to the left, Jessie James Decker. She has been my biggest style influence for this style and I love the way she has the leopard maxi styled. If you aren’t ready for the full body print just start with a lightweight blouse instead. Both are super cute and perfect for spring or even fall as well. This lighter background print is great for a warmer weather look so I would even wear in to the summer nights too!

Ok, so I know that spring isn't exactly warm weather for everyone and bikini season. However, for some it is. Or maybe you're heading to the beach for Spring Break. What better time then to grab a leopard print bathing suit. If you're a bikini lover you can even just go with a printed top and a plain pair of black bottoms for that pop of print.

There are literally so many ways to add in this print whether it be a pair of earrings or belt, or going all out with a maxi dress. There is definitely something to be said about a fun print and it can even be a little sexy if that's the look you're going for!

What I Wore to See Aquaman

Hey everyone.. happy Sunday! Today we took the kids to see Aquaman and it was so good! Aside from Landon getting sick half in to the movie.. we also had the theatre all to ourselves which was nice! I shared this pic on Instagram and promised some outfit details. My entire outfit was super cheap. I don’t know about you guys but I ALWAYS freeze in the theatre so I grabbed a cardigan just to keep warm since it was like 70 degrees outside today. The cardigan is actually already linked in my Winter Outfit post if you want details on it. I actually found mine at a thrift store though.

My pants are actually jeggings from Walmart and they were super inexpensive but are really comfortable and go with everything! My blouse I got from Rue21 last year and they have so many colors and patterns that look just like it.. I found a similar one to link for you guys! It's lightweight and airy so it's perfect for warmer weather days. The slip on shoes I am wearing are also from Walmart and I have them in several colors. They're incredibly comfortable since they're memory foam, and you can wear them without socks and they never hurt your feet. Definitely my most worn shoes all year long and they're so versatile. Hope this gave you all some inexpensive outfit inspiration.. Happy shopping everyone!
